Date first £301 cost of living payment will be made in 2023 ... (Derbyshire Live)

The payment forms the first of three payments the government will be making as part of its £900 support package for means-tested benefits claimants.

There will also be a £150 disability cost of living payment in summer 2023, and a £300 top-up to the winter fuel payment for 2023/24. If you have received a Cost of Living Payment, but we later find that you were not eligible for it, you may have to pay it back. If you get tax credits, and no other low income benefits, you’ll get your Cost of Living Payment from HMRC shortly after DWP payments begin, if you’re eligible. To get the £301 payment someone must, subject to a very limited exception, have been entitled to a payment of a qualifying benefit as follows: You will still be paid the Cost of Living Payment automatically. Use an independent [benefits calculator](https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators) to find out what benefits you could get. You will usually be paid by DWP only. More than eight million people in the UK are expected to benefit from the first cost of living payment over the coming weeks - worth £301. The payment will be made separately from your benefit payments. There will also be an additional £150 going out to people on disability benefits, on top of £300 for pensioners. [cost of living](https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/cost-of-living/) payments has now been announced. If you’re getting both Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit, you will receive a Cost of Living Payment for Child Tax Credit only, which will be paid by HMRC.

DWP cost of living payment - everything we know so far (ChronicleLive)

Jeremy Hunt's support package will be a lifeline to many, but it's taken a long time to get any updates.

The cost of living payment is a one-off bonus paid to people on certain benefits. Last year, the payment was made at the end of September and it seems likely to expect a similar payment date this year. Notices for the payment are usually sent out around October or November, with payments being made throughout the winter season. However, only a limited number of people will be eligible to receive the full amount. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has said it'll never ask you for personal details or banking info over text or email.
